IN THE HABITAT
The AW’20 collection is loosely based on Jo March's character in the novel ‘Little Women’ by Louisa May Alcott and her wonderful transformation fueled by her self-realisation. Her inner transformation is reflected through her wardrobe—of peg pants with high waists and big shirts to the fine lace, hand-painted flowers, delicate embroideries, velvet dresses and woollen overlayers.
For this collection, we worked with the handloom clusters of Telangana to develop pieces that present the textiles in a new light, rendering them in a more contemporary translation, keeping Jo’s character in mind. The focus was on developing new textiles with contemporary patterns, color combinations, and yarn blends.
